Dua Lipa is an English singer and songwriter who was born August 22 1995 in London United Kingdom. After working as a fashion model her decision was to join Warner Bros Records and release her debut album. This album reached number 3 in the U.K. Charts and produced eight singles. These included Be the one I.D.G.A.F as well as the U.K. Number One single New Rules as well as the U.K. No. 1 single New Rules. Lipa received the Brit Awards as a British Female solo artist and British breaking-through act in the year of 2018. The album was certified as platinum throughout the world. Dua Lipa was born on the 22nd August 1995, in London with Kosovo Albanian Anesa Rexha, and Dukagjin Lipa. Due to her maternal grandmother she has Bosnian heritage. It is possible to trace her ancestors all the way back to Peja which is a city located in Kosovo. Both of her grandparents were historians. She is a sister to Rina Lipa. She also has another younger brother named Gjin. Lipa's father, who was a leader and guitarist of the Kosovan group Oda, influenced her musically. The family was a place where her father continued to play music including his own compositions and songs by David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Sting The Police and Stereophonics. Lipa began singing when she was five years old. at the age of nine she was singing in Sylvia Young Theater School. Lipa performed Beautiful Christina Aguilera's Beautiful and If I Ain't Have You of Alicia Keys on YouTube. Her record deal with Warner Bros. Records was completed in the year 2014. Her first single was released New Love in August of 2015.
